Courses for Class 1 and 3 Licenses
To safely and legally operate commercial trucks and trucks over certain weights and sizes, drivers need to obtain Class 1 and 3 licenses. At Arctic Defensive Driving School, we have an impressive roster of talented, certified instructors who can walk you through the operational requirements of commercial trucks and ensure you stay safe on the road.
Our courses for securing Class 1 and 3 licenses typically include up to 30 hours of classroom instruction, 20-35 hours of driving instruction, and extensive training on air brakes and emergency maneuvers. We take a safety-first approach to teaching and work hard to prepare our students to become world-class drivers.
With our Class 3 training courses, you’ll be able to operate the following:
- A single vehicle with three or more axles
- Any combination of vehicles with a gross weight of 4,500 kg
- Any combination of vehicles without air brakes with a gross weight of 4,500 kg
- Any vehicle in Class 1 through 6 for learning purposes
Courses for Class 5 Licenses
Class 5 licenses allow drivers to operate personal and recreational vehicles, construction equipment with two axles, and towing vehicles with a gross weight of up to 4,500 kg. Arctic Defensive Driving School is the only local driving school that offers courses for Class 1, 3, and Class 5 licenses, and our courses provide comprehensive coverage of your basic needs.
Our courses emphasize safety, and we teach our students to become conscientious drivers through 25 combined hours of classroom and vehicle instruction.
